Faust Park Engagement

Patty and I have been dating for 4 years. She is a wonderful woman
who observes the beauty of everything around her. I thought it was fitting to propose in one of our favorite areas, Faust Park in Chesterfield, Missouri.

On September 23rd, 2004, I asked if she would like to ride the St. Louis Carousel that is housed next to The Butterfly House. We paid for our tickets and sat in the sled seats on the outer ring of the carousel. As the caliope played I told her there was something I needed to ask her. As the carousel turned, I bent down on one knee and asked my best friend to be my wife. She cried and said yes. As the carousel slowed to a stop, the people around us began to applaud and offer their congratulations.

We are to be married at The Butterfly House at Faust Park a year to the day of our engagement.
